Useful Anime LaserDisc Links
Release Companies
Below are homepages for some of the firms which put out anime in LD
format. While most of these sites do not have much information about
old releases, they may provide resources related to the programmes
themselves.
-
A.D. Vision
of Houston, Texas.
-
AnimEigo
, the "niche within the niche" of the anime market.
-
Central Park Media
also publishes the U.S. Manga Corps, Software Sculptors, and Anime18

Other Resources
Some of the following sites are anime-related, some are
LaserDisc-related, and some are both. You may find something
relevant to your interests.
-
The
LaserDisc Database
is truly a worthy effort, an attempt to collect important information
on every LD ever issued anywhere in the world. The project is wholly
dependent upon contributions of information, and I feel that anyone
who owns LaserDiscs ought to be a contributor.
- The compilation known as the
Anime
LD Cyclopedia is, if not wholly reliable, indicative and generally informative.
-
For any type of anime information, a visit to the
Anime Web Turnpike
is a good starting point. They provide scads of useful links for
everything under the Rising Sun.
-
Admittedly, not everyone holds the demon goddess from Tenchi
Muyo! in quite as high esteem as the members of the
Ryoko Forever Fan Club
, but I am sure I do not know why.
-
Contributor Joshua Zyber maintains an intriguing site on LD,
"LaserDisc Forever", which is well worth a look.
-
Contributor "lons_vex" is a German anime LD enthusiast; his
home page
reflects this as well as his other interests.
-
The moderator of the "animelaserdiscs" Yahoo! Group,
"Kaze Kiri FX", wrote
this article
on collecting anime LaserDiscs in 2000, for "J-Fan",
the online Japanese entertainment directory.
